My mom is helping with a cub scout day camp this week, today I went and practiced my photojournalism type shots. I learned that sunny days suck for shooting, I almost never shoot mid-day and when I do it's overcast. I might be sticking to evaluative metering for days like that, because my standard spot-meter method that usually works even for JPEG's didn't cut it.

  • Camera: Canon 350D
  • Lens: Tamron 28-75mm 2.8
  • Aperture: 2.8
  • Shutter: 1/4000th
  • ISO: 200

I agree. I hate sunny days. I have never learned how to take good photos in the bright sun. The Scout camp sounds like fun though.
