Another shot from the camp, I'm having to edit shots for the website... probably the most photos I've edited at once for a long time. I set the camera on a table to convey motion in this one.

  • Camera: Canon 350D
  • Lens: Canon 18-55mm
  • Aperture: 22
  • Shutter: 1.3 sec
  • ISO: 100

Some plants in the yard, I was trying some stuff with my flash. Lit from above, my tripod doesn't go down low enough to get the angle I wanted.

  • Camera: Canon 350D
  • Lens: Tamron 28-75mm 2.8
  • Aperture: 32
  • Shutter: 1/200th
  • ISO: 100

My niece. I hate her pose a lot. Lit with my flash fired manually at about 1/4th power, held off where the shadows are coming from, and left the shutter open a while to get the stars and the sky exposed.

  • Camera: Canon 350D
  • Lens: Tamron 28-75mm 2.8
  • Aperture: 8.0
  • Shutter: 20 sec
  • ISO: 400

Taken with film in Durango. Canon EOS-1N, Canon 50mm 1.8, Fuji Superia 400.

Some rain/hail on the river. I added the noise because it wasn't very obvious that it was raining in the picture, and the noise kind of gives that impression.

  • Camera: Canon 350D
  • Lens: Tamron 28-75mm
  • Aperture: 16
  • Shutter: 1/40th
  • ISO: 100

A sunset, taken at the camp. Those two birds flew across as I was taking it, they almost look like dust spots.

  • Camera: Canon 350D
  • Lens: Tamron 28-75mm 2.8
  • Aperture: 4.0
  • Shutter: 1/400th
  • ISO: 100

I was gone the past week or so; I took the final part of my GED test, and from there I went to a religious camp thing for 5 days. Here are two shots of some sports at the camp; I took over 300 but I think I like these two best.

My bike, in part of a water drainage tunnel I found. It's a pretty cool place, right under a highway so you hear the cars going over. There are some bugs and stuff though, wouldn't want to stay too long.

  • Camera: Canon 350D
  • Lens: Tamron 28-75mm 2.8
  • Aperture: 8.0
  • Shutter: 1/100th
  • ISO: 400

Self portrait, got close with the 18mm and put the hood of my telephoto up next to it. Flash bounced off wall behind the camera, tried some different processing techniques

  • Camera: Canon 350D
  • Lens: Canon 18-55mm
  • Aperture: 11
  • Shutter: 1/30th
  • ISO: 400

Mooo. Taken with my film camera on Fuji Sensia 100 with my 70-210, printed from the slide on a rather sketchy machine and scanned on a just plain crappy scanner. I'll be getting a real scanner when I can afford it.

A shot of a cow. Added some grain in processing, and some other stuff.

  • Camera: Canon 350D
  • Lens: Tamron 70-210mm 2.8
  • Aperture: 2.8
  • Shutter: 1/3200

One of the homeless kittens in my neighborhood. They're really cute, and some of them are pretty friendly too.

  • Camera: Canon 350D
  • Lens: Tamron 70-210mm 2.8
  • Aperture: 8.0
  • Shutter: 1/640th
  • ISO: 400

Three pictures this time, with no exif. They're to show what I did the past three days; the first is an event in Aztec where the owners of hot air balloons set up their baskets and shot off the burners in the middle of the street. There was a band there, and a lot of people. The second is at the annual 'Party in the Park', which is normally on the 4th but was moved to the 2nd this year. A fire truck sprays the crowd with water to cool them down. The third is of a softball game that was being played near where we sat to watch the 4th of July fireworks. The first was with my 50, wide open, the second was with my 28-75, at about f/11, and the last was with my 70-210, wide open.
