Trying new processing methods. An older shot of my bike - how does the processing look? I was going for an old film-type effect, those pictures always look sweet. I wonder if straight digital photos will look so nice to the people in the future?

Star trails. Night photography is fun once you get used to it - I dig it. I think the curvy, blinky thing is a satellite, but when I saw the image it reminded me of a 'skyhook'.

One of the dogs in my neighborhood. Went for a ride with the camera and the telephoto, with the intention of getting some backlit shots of animals and some shots with the great evening light. Succeeded :)

Self portrait. Had this shirt that someone gave me for free, was looking around for stuff to take pictures of, thought I'd try a self portrait with the shirt on me. Backdrop was a towel, burned it out in PS, lighting was my flash and a desk lamp for a slight backlight.

The cat, lounging on a shelf in my closet. She was asleep until I started flashing a big old thing in her face... our pets are used to it by now. Bounced flash off of wall behind me, note the shdow of the flashhead and handle, and my head.

Brought my camera and tripod out to track down a decent subject for a night shot. Found this field with trees and houses on the other end. Did quite a bit of processing on the sky, it's a shame about the halo along the dark parts but I'm not counting on using the image for anything really.

Bee, on a tree in the garden. The 70-210 really is awesome to use close-up if you can tame the focus, even stopped down a little the background is totally thrown out of focus, and even the flowers in the back are getting there. Possible challenge entry for Something New (spring growth and harvesters).

A skater at the local park. Went there this evening and took some pictures, also rode my bike but I wasn't riding very well, left ankle is sore and a popped blister on my hand makes it hurt to hold the grips. I love it when the weather's warm enough to ride a lot.
